Swimming Canada

IT Audit and Roadmap

The Challenge

Swimming Canada wanted a clear, practical view of how well its current IT operations, resources, and governance were supporting operational efficiency, knowledge management, and collaboration - while also understanding capability gaps and risk exposure related to potential custom applications and integrations.

What We Did

Differly partnered with Swimming Canada to run a structured IT audit that combined infrastructure review, stakeholder discovery, and a prioritized action roadmap.
Led kickoff alignment and built a focused workplan and interview approach with executive sponsorship and cross-functional stakeholders.
Completed a comprehensive 8-area IT assessment covering infrastructure, service delivery, planning/governance, and data governance.
Conducted discovery across departmental leaders to capture needs, barriers, and opportunities - translating real workflow pain points into actionable recommendations.
Produced an IT Audit report with prioritized gaps, recommendations, and a sequenced visual roadmap to guide implementation.

The Outcome

The engagement delivered clarity and an execution-ready roadmap, enabling Swimming Canada to move forward confidently - on time, on budget, and with strong internal adoption.

Clarity: Delivered a prioritized roadmap spanning security, backup/recovery, and improved IT service delivery - providing value beyond the audit itself.

Resilience: Identified enhancements to security posture and backup/recovery practices to strengthen reliability and risk management.

Efficiency: Recommended ways to reduce reliance on spreadsheets and manual processes through targeted automation and improved workflows.

Capability: Equipped Swimming Canada with detailed, implementable recommendations they could action independently with their MSP.
